Agent Kim reactivated

A Netflix series review about a promising start, good characters, and a few storytelling issues.

The preview was promising and really caught me. The story seemed good, so I started watching it on Netflix.

10 episodes sounded great. It began quite well. The story-building and the characters were well done. Over time, though, I felt a bit lost because of unnecessary flashbacks. That is just my personal opinion, but they kept pulling me out of the momentum.

The characters were sometimes funny, but at some point they felt a bit over the top. The story also felt hard to trust at times, as if they needed to construct something just to make a bigger ending. That made the whole thing feel a little forced.

It is a shame, because the beginning had a lot of potential and the premise was actually interesting. I liked the overall vibe and the character chemistry in the early episodes. But the more it went on, the more I noticed the storytelling shortcuts and the occasional lack of consistency.

In the end, it was still entertaining, but not quite as strong as it could have been. A good start with a few ideas that deserved a cleaner, more focused execution.
